 Community involvement

depth look at our capabilities

As we’ve grown as a company, we've tried to help the Quad Cities grow as a great place to live, work and play.

Operation GoodWorks is one of the ways Aquent gives back to the community. The mission of Operation GoodWorks is to enable Non-Profit Organizations to become more efficient and effective at accomplishing their mission through the effective use of Internet technology.

Non-Profit Organizations have been slow to take advantage of technology to increase their effectiveness and generally have little technical skill on staff (relative to corporations) to help them.  They are often unaware of what technology can do for them and uncertain about how to engage in it.  Making mistakes on technology decisions can be very costly and discourage additional investment.  In general, the technology is too expensive and too complicated for them to cope with.

Operation GoodWorks utilizes the Application Service Provider (ASP) model to enable non-profit organizations with technology.  It takes advantage of the pervasive access to the Internet that most, if not all, organizations now have.  The concept is to provide the application(s) to the non-profit organization over the Internet rather than requiring them to purchase, install and manage software and hardware – they only need access to the Internet and a PC or Mac with a browser on it.
